Integrated Plumbing Systems (IPS)

Flat pack methods of installing duct panelling to conceal pipework and cisterns and services can be difficult, requiring the coordination of plumbers, joiners and fit-out teams. The frames are very often made from softwood and panels have a high risk of damage as sanitaryware cut outs are often done on site. On site fitting of secret fixings for the panels can be time consuming and panels are subject to damage during storage, removal and refitting when it comes time for installation. Willis Systems produces true Integrated Plumbing Systems (IPS). Our factory-made IPS suppresses flat pack problems by pre-assembling panel modules at works to minimize on site works for the installer.

Our Integrated Plumbing Systems take this concept further to include pre-plumbed sanitaryware panel modules, thereby further minimizing on site trades and enabling plumbing trades to simply hook up units to onsite service connections.

Benefits of Integrated Plumbing Systems include:

  • Hiding unsightly pipework and cisterns at the back of the toilet cubicle or urinal to create a more attractive washroom appearance.
  • Protecting pipes to help prevent vandalism
  • Creating seamless walls to make washrooms easier to clean
  • Providing easy access to plumbing

IPS panels can be used in any commercial washroom setting and can be manufactured to meet any size and shape requirements.

Washroom panel systems are available in full or half height and a range of colour schemes. They also include automatic sensor options.

All of Willis Systems’ IPS are manufactured in Cardiff, using locally sourced and recycled materials wherever possible. Each unit is fully tested prior to leaving our factory before being delivered directly to site.

Wide Choice of Colours and Finishes

There is a wide choice of colours and finishes depending on usage and budget requirements. High pressure laminate (HPL) material is recommended in areas with lower traffic and dry areas, while solid grade laminate (SGL) is a better option for areas with high footfall, areas exposed to water and those with a greater risk of vandalism.

Solid Grade Laminate (SGL) materials used in Willis Systems’ P13 Integrated Plumbing Systems are 100% waterproof, making them especially suitable for use in showers or wet rooms.

Our P18 systems are specified for typically dry, occasionally wet, environments where aesthetics are a greater consideration.

Healthcare Integrated Plumbing Systems (IPS)

Cleanliness and anti-bacterial materials are the most important factors in selecting the right material to combat bacterial growth and Healthcare Acquired Infections (HAI) in hospitals and clinical environments.

It is vital that Healthcare IPS are impervious to water splashed during normal use or during aggressive cleaning because delamination provides a damp harbour for bacterial growth.

The original Washroom Panelling Health Standard, HTM68, was primarily concerned with performance. The latest Department of Health standard, (HBN) 00-10 Part C, adds sustainability and infection control to healthcare IPS requirements.

Hygiene and the elimination of Healthcare Acquired Infections (HAI) are paramount to designing healthcare Integrated Plumbing Systems. Sanitary facilities must be easy to clean, durable and impervious to bacteria.

Boxed Out IPS

Boxed-Out IPS

Willis Systems’ boxed-out integrated plumbing systems are ideal for refurbishment projects because they provide minimum business disruption due to their fast installation.

Our boxed-out units project outwards from the finished wall surface to form their own self-contained duct. Water supply and waste pipework is concealed behind the panel and its’ side sections.  These units make it easy to access pipes via hinged and lockable access doors. Boxed-out IPS do not require alterations to buildings since they are fitted directly to structural or partition walls.

These units are available as full height, up to 3050mm, or shelf height, 1200mm, assemblies.

Recessed IPS

In a new build where a service duct can be constructed within the partition system, our recessed IPS units will fit direct into drywall apertures, creating a flush onto wall panel solution.  These units offer a space-efficient sanitary solution which is aesthetically pleasing.

This type of panel assembly utilises the duct formed by the drywall to conceal all services, improve hygiene and allow for maintenance by means of rear or face lockable access doors.
